Every comment you leave and every post you publish sends people to your profile. This LinkedIn profile checklist makes sure that when they land there, they understand what you do and how to work with you.

The top of your LinkedIn profile

This is all most visitors see, so it matters most.

Your About section

A profile that looks abandoned undoes the rest. If you want a simple way to stay active, try the 20-minute daily social selling routine.

LinkedIn profile questions

How long can my About section be?

Up to 2,600 characters. Most people only read the first few lines before deciding whether to click "see more", so put the most important thing first.

Should I write my profile in the first person?

Yes. "I help" reads as a person talking; "John is a results-driven professional" reads as a CV. People buy from people.
